Meet Our Chief Medical Officer Rafael Rosado, MD MHA FAAFP |

Mountain Health & Community Services, Inc. Your Community Partner in Good Health for over 30 Years |
Saludos! My name is Rafael A. Rosado-Cosme and I live in the beautiful town of Fallbrook, California surrounded by green valleys and beautiful trees. I live in a beautiful home overlooking a valley about 12 miles from the ocean with my Wife Adela, my in-laws Ray and Carmen, my daughter Desiree, her two children Joshua and Sirianna, and my nephew Danny. I was born in San Juan, Puerto Rico and grew up in Bell Gardens, California. I received my Bachelor's in Science from the Caribbean University in Bayamon, Puerto Rico. I then entered medical school at the University of Puerto Rico Medical Sciences Campus in San Juan. I went on to postgraduate medical training at the University of puerto Rico Family Medicine Residency Program in Gurabo, Puerto Rico. I entered active duty in the ARMY where I served 3 years at the National Training Center at Ft. Irwin, California near Barstow. This is where I met Adela and we have been inseparable ever since. The ARMY then moved us to Ft. Hood, Texas near Killeen where we spent another 4 years. I also had the opportunity to travel to a small country in eastern Europe known as Bosnia-Herzegovina where I spent 8 months on a peacekeeping mission with the First Cavalry Division's Iron Horse Brigade. After completing my tour of duty with the ARMY we decided to start out on our own in a small town called Needles, California. Our practice gre rapidly and we moved across the mighty Colorado River to Bullhead City where we lived for 6 years. We decided to move to Fallbrook to be close to our family and loved ones. I am currently a Board Certified Family Practitioner in group practice with MHCS in Alpine and I have hospital privileges at the Fallbrook Hospital. I also do home visits with the elderly and I am the medical director of MHCS. My goals are to get involved in healthcare administration and help provide care to our growing number of elderly patients in the San Diego County area. Rafael A.
